On September 13th, 1989, Hali was born to Brad and Karen Thompson.  When the Thompson’s were told that their daughter, Hali, was mentally handicapped, they knew that she would need specialized programs to meet her needs.  Having the burning desire for hali to be as “normal” as possible, to continue the learning process and attend college, Brad and Karen developed the West Texas A&M Learning Center.  The Learning Center is located on the WTA&M campus and is more commonly called the “Hali Project”.  The “Hali Project”, is funded strictly by student tuition and donations received through the community.

Hali, along with 6 other students, is a senior at the WTLC.  She works part time at a day care center while attending WTLC, and she is the WT Lady Buff Volleyball Assistant Trainer.  With your money, you will make it possible for more special needs students to continue their learning process and to have rewarding experiences just like Hali.

We are asking you and your company to become a Hali Project Sponsor.  Sponsorship can be by playing in the 12th Annual Hali Project Golf Tournament at Palo Duro Creek Golf Course, attending the 2nd Annual WT Volleyball/Football Team fundraiser match, or by monetary contribution.  The volleyball match will be held on Thursday, April 26th at the Box at 7:30 p.m.  There will be hamburgers served free to all sponsors.  If you wish just to attend the volleyball match the cost will be $5.00 for the game and the hamburger.

Titleist is offering for a limited time a great promotion on Pro V1′s and Pro V1x’s.  Here are the details -

Golfers who would like to purchase 3 dozen Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls will recieve 1 dozen of the same ball typye at no charge if you want them personalized.  The personalization is free of charge.  You can imprint the golf ball with whatever you would like (example: John Smith or Happy Birthday Dad!).  The imprint comes in black, blue, red, green and pink.  The golfer can get up to 17 characters per line and up to 3 lines.  This is available in both low numbers (1 to 4) and high numbers (5 to 9).  You can also elect to have all the same numbers (ex. all #1′s, all #2′s ect…).

Instead of the imprint you can get the double digit play numbers on the ball.  The balls can be numbered 00 or 10-99.  There is a $5 per dozen upcharge fee on all of the double digit play number orders.

Lastly, John and his crew have started resodding #8 green.  The improvements made on this hole are going to be great.  The sand trap in the front has been moved to the left side of the green, this will help with a pulled shot staying in bounds.  The green as been expanded and all of the bad drainage spots have been removed.  Thanks John for all your great work!

Welcome to Palo Duro Creek Golf Course’s new website. We here at Palo Duro Creek are excited about the upcoming year in golf. The golf course is looking great and with the added moisture from the snow that we received, it is only going to keep getting better.

We hope that utilize our website in many ways. First, be sure to look at our calendar often. Thursday Night Scrambles start up in May and we hope that all of you get a chance to play. Also, be on the lookout for other tournaments that you may want to play in. The calendar will be updated often, so keep your eye on it.

Second, PDC’s Double Eagle Grill is open to everyone. Remember, you don’t have to “Play to Eat”. Our menu is on the website and you call in an order to satisfy your hunger. We have many items to choose from, including cheeseburgers, breakfast burritos, chicken tacos and many more delicious foods to fill you up.

Third, our golf shop is full of merchandise and we carry all of golf’s major brands. We have the new Titleist Pro v1 and Pro v1x golf balls, the new TaylorMade drivers and fairway woods, as well as outerwear and shoes to help your golfing needs.
